Sonora Dolphinarium offering therapy sessions

Aug. 17, 2017.  The reopened Sonora Dolphinarium (Delfinario) located in San Carlos, Nuevo Guaymas provides educational programs, experiences and interactions with dolphins, plus therapy sessions.

Luis Trujillo Aguayo of the Puerto Peñasco Municipal Council on Social Integration for Persons with Disabilities, as well as liaison with the Sonora Commission of Ecology and Sustainable Development (CEDES) that runs the facility, details the Municipal Council is currently receiving applications for therapy sessions at the Dolphinarium.  He invites parents that have children with cerebral paralysis, autism, Down syndrome, neurological disorders, or other disabilities to apply for the dolphin assisted therapies. Applications are available at the Council’s offices located at Calle Juan Aldama between Ave. Marcolo Pino and Ave. Oriente. He added scholarship possibilities through the state DIF may be available.
