Businessman Miguel Guevara Askar, accompanied by mayor Kiko Munro, announced construction of the Real Center Puerto Peñasco commercial shopping center, which will feature a Cinepolis movie theater, and represents an investment of 50 million pesos.
Guevara Askar detailed the “Mi Cine” Cinepolis concept is geared toward communities with less than 100,000 residents. The five-screen multiplex, with seating for up to 750, will create jobs for approximately 50 people. He added Peñasco is among the first twenty-five cities of 300 where Cinepolis is looking to invest.
Guevara Askar thanked mayor Munro for facilitating everything in making this shopping center a reality, stating that dealing with this type of administration inspires faith and motivation for investment. Construction is set to begin within the next 60 days and completion of the project is scheduled for some time within the first quarter of 2019. Both national and international companies are invited to take part in the project.
Mayor Kiko Munro, accompanied by Municipal Economic Development Coordinator Jorge Valdes Felix, explained Puerto Peñasco’s economic revival continues to strengthen with this and other investments such as the reactivation of Corona del Sol, Esmeralda Luxury Resort, Islas del Mar, Playa Azul, Laguna Shores, Grupo Vidanta, among others.
