In a June 25th press release as to steps Puerto Peñasco continues to take to ensure care in what is the “New Reality” in protecting the community from the spread of Covid-19, Mayor Ernesto Kiko Munro detailed measures regarding mobility about town. This comes after a videoconference last week with Dr. Jorge Cortés Lawrenz, member of the Mexican Committee on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, which stressed personal hygiene is fundamental to halting the possible spread of Sars-COV2, the virus responsible for Covid-19.
In addition to city regulations already in effect, measures and recommendations include:
- Use of masks at all times in public. This once again includes within vehicles (when traveling with more than 1 person)
- Washing hands with soap for 20 seconds when arriving to your destination
- Not touching one’s face
- Use of anti-bacterial gel
- Safe social distancing
- Opening of windows for as long as possible to air out homes and workspaces
- Driving with open car windows, and use of masks
