As we look to March, we recall this is generally when Rocky Point revs up its Spring Break season…leading to Semana Santa.  Last year, Rocky Point was in full Spring Break mood when the pandemic hit our playas and we all sat it out…for a while.  Tourism and the economy has been inching back since last Summer and though this Spring Break will be different than others, indeed our beaches are open, restaurants and bars eagerly await your visit, and the city is happy to have you – just mask up, wash your hands, and coastally distance well. ¡Gracias!

Yes, Whale watching season is still in full swing, as long as the winds and weather cooperate. Federally recognized in this area through April, check with local tour boats as to availability for whale watching tours (down by the docks).

Keep in mind!

• Spring Break / Semana Santa Curfew change in effect Feb. 26^th – March 14^th  and again March 29^th – April 4^th:  Monday – Thursday   midnight – 6:00 a.m.  / Friday – Sunday  1 a.m. – 6 a.m.
• Masks still required in all public spaces in Rocky Point, and if there are 2 or more people in a car
• Reduced capacities at restaurants and businesses still in effect- Some supermarkets only allow 1 person per family
• Negative Covid tests are not currently required when coming/going from Rocky Point
• Only essential travel indication at US/Mexico/Canadian land borders has been extended until at least March 21^st.  NOTE:  To date, Mexican officials have not enforced this at the Sonoyta entry.  However, only US citizens and/or permanent US residents with ID may cross into Lukeville *Some exceptions for medical/education/trade
