Alejandro Kuri Pheres, national president of the Mexican Association of Professional Realtors (AMPI), ratified support to work alongside the dedicated professionals in Puerto Peñasco as Rommel Bustamante was ratified for a fourth time as local Chapter 51 president (Puerto Peñasco AMPI).
Kuri asserted real estate in Puerto Peñasco has strengthened in recent years, representing a 57% increase in sales between 2016-2017, and 18% growth so far in 2018. Kuri also lauded coordination of Puerto Peñasco’s real estate sector with local authorities.
Peñasco mayor Kiko Munro, on hand for the occasion, urged the AMPI realtors to continue promoting this seaside destination. “It is a diamond,” he stated, “only in need of transformation, which is why I invite you all to be community ambassadors while for our part we will provide tools through public policies to bolster the growing economy.”
The national AMPI President commended Chapter 51 of AMPI in Puerto Peñasco for their efforts in strengthening skills of their members through training and licensing, stating that Puerto Peñasco has a firm MLS platform in place. On a national level, he added, AMPI plans to open a national MLS platform in conjunction with Coldwell Banker, Remax, and Century 21. The national AMPI president remarked real estate ranks second in Mexico’s gross national income behind the automobile industry.
