Lions Club donates 1000 pairs of glasses to help people with visual impairment

Local Lions Club president, Carmen Alicia Morales Valle, reported the club held a successful ophthalmology campaign April 14th – 15th with support from a team of doctors from the United States. The two-day eye clinic, which offered participants eyeglasses at no cost, examined about 500 people each day, explained Morales Valle. She added the club plans to hold another campaign in May.  The Lions Club president affirmed many of the people who participated in the program had signed up in advance, however any low-income individuals with visual impairments are invited to speak with the Peñasco Lion’s Club.  For more information, cell: 638 105 8510 /638 113 0122
