Puerto Peñasco’s light, scenery, and people make for good TV – HGTV that is. This past weekend, a film crew from the popular show of House Hunters International was in town filming the beach-home finding experience of a couple from Arizona, who were working with real estate agent Dan Monroe of Realty Executives.
February 7th is when House Hunters International will be airing this segment. Plus, look for a casa from Puerto Peñasco as part of HGTV’s Extreme Homes episode: Greenhouse, Nest, Secret Agent (first aired on Jan. 1st, and to be reaired on Feb. 17, 2013)
RockyPoint360 had the pleasure of guiding the crew around town one day for important city shots – from the balcony of La Casa del Capitan and the local docks filled with shrimp boats to the shores of Sandy Beach, and back down along the malecón fish market. The crew, made up of Sandra, Dan, and Mike had flown into Phoenix from New York City and were scheduled to be in the area for about 5 days as they filmed the couple and their agent roaming from complex to complex in search of a perfect beach condo. With the ever-increasing popularity of the show, Mike mentioned they’ve got numerous film crews around the world putting together segments to be aired in upcoming episodes. We’ll have to watch for Puerto Peñasco’s debut on House Hunters International, adding to the city’s fame as a great place to find a beach haven.
