Fall Break keeps local hotels at 60% occupancy

The streets, beaches, and night clubs in Puerto Peñasco were filled with thousands of visitors during the two principal weekends encompassing AZ Fall break vacations, with scores of families taking in warm days on our beaches.

Another factor that has drawn tourists to the area during the month of October were events of various types including concerts, the annual Fall regatta, and beach sports. This is why the Convention and Visitors Bureau has high expectations for the end of the month and going into November, with preparations in full gear for important events such as the 14th Rocky Point Rally™ and concerts with international caliber artists.

Plus, this is the time of year when thousands of older adults – affectionately called “snowbirds” – flock from the center, northern parts in the U.S., and Canada, in search of warmer destinations as the season changes.
