Local businessman Steve Schwab of SeaSide Reservations, and the heart behind the Peñasco Children’s Foundation, is once again making the approx. 200 mile trek on foot from Phoenix to Puerto Peñasco as one of the foundation’s yearly charitable actions to help raise funds for PCF. Schwab has asked people to help sponsor him, as well as to donate to PCF throughout the year, noting “Just a little bit goes a long way and 100% of your money goes directly to the kids we help.” Donations may be made online or you can contact Steve for a pledge form. Peñasco Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization here in Puerto Peñasco that is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in the city by offering assistance in four specific ways:
• provide medical assistance to local families who cannot afford to pay for their children’s healthcare needs
• assist families whose children are in economic duress
• offer educational assistance to children
• assist in the general enrichment of children’s lives
