CEDO reopened to visitors since June

The Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans (CEDO) reopened to tourism this summer to continue strengthening work to foster vibrant communities and resilient ecosystems.

CEDO Executive Director Nélida Barajas Acosta reported though the covid-19 pandemic is still a concern, they have returned to a new normal governed by protocols to minimize health risks.

Barajas Acosta detailed after being closed for more than a year, CEDO renewed guided visits in June. She indicated they have received approximately 150 visitors, which though small in number is tremendous when considering there were no visitors last year.

CEDO is located in Las Conchas (look for the whale bone).
