The touching story of Little Orphan Annie…pero en español (Anita la Huerfanita) will be performed March 12th by Taide theater group in a fundraising effort of the local George Papanicolau association. The sole function is programmed for Sunday, March 12th 7 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium. Tickets are 120 pesos for adults, 80 pesos for children, and are available by visiting the Clínica George Papanicolaou (behind the General Hospital and across from Dialysis Center) or at Taide offices (Simon Morua # 199) or by calling 638 104 3880.
The George Papanicolaou association provides cancer awareness and screening campaigns throughout the year, with a particular focus on women’s health.
Taide Director Randy Vega explains, “The association came to us to coordinate a fundraising event and we as artists came through, as this is a way to contribute to social projects particularly for these type of institutions that provide support in improving health within the community.”
The entire theater group of Taide will be participating in the performance, from the littles to the oldest:
