The renowned music group Los Ángeles Azules will headline a free concert in October on Puerto Peñasco’s malecon as part of the 15th Anniversary celebration of the Las Palomas golf course.

Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort General Director Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, detailed the plan to welcome Los Ángeles Azules to town has been in the works for quite some time, in coordination with the City. As it turns out, in addition to celebrating the 15th Anniversary of The Links golf course at Las Palomas, the free concert will also acknowledge and thank the community of Puerto Peñasco for efforts undertaken during the pandemic.

The 15th Anniversary of The Links golf course is actually on May 19th, which was the initial proposed date for the festivities. However, given ongoing preventive health and safety conditions, the celebration is now scheduled for October 15th, with hopes that overall conditions will allow for a massive event.

The completely free live concert of the internationally praised Los Ángeles Azules, as part of the 15th Anniversary of the Las Palomas golf course, also honors the band’s 40 year history of moving people to dance from Iztapalapa to Puerto Peñasco and across the globe.

The Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort director anticipates the event will draw tremendous interest and tourism to the area.  He assured overall organization and logistics will follow Covid health and safety protocols in place at the time. He anticipates by October many of the guidelines will be further relaxed as the health emergency lessens.

15th Anniversary Golf Tournament @ The Links at Las Palomas Golf & Beach Resort will run from October 15th – 17th, 2021, with more than $70,000 USD in prizes, and the musical presentation of Los Ángeles Azules in the Old Port.
