Did you make it to the Taste of Peñasco Culinary & Cultural Festival on Saturday? Many local restaurants served up some of their best dishes with the winners representing a wide variety of styles in town!
1st place: BBQ from Southside Jillz
2nd place: Seabass Libonesa by Mare Blu
3rd place: “The original” beef empanadas from Argentina, served with chimichurri sauce and a chipotle cream
The spectacular salsa competitors also put out some tasty treats, with 1st prize going to Sr. Amigo and 2nd to El Tapeo. Congrats to all! Pics coming soon. By the way, Sundays starting at 5 pm is BBQ time over at South Side Jillz so go taste for yourself!
Proceeds from the Taste of Peñasco Culinary & Cultural Festival 2017 were for the Red Cross, Santa Claus Club, and 2 Fish Ministries.
