4 tourists rescued after yacht goes adrift

Four Mexican tourists were rescued safe and sound Saturday, June 2nd, after the private yacht they had boarded started to drift out to sea following a mechanical fault.

The Mexican Navy reported the rescue took place behind “Whale Hill” took place on Saturday, June 2nd. Naval Military personnel tended to and provided support to the “Swell Times” yacht, with 4 individuals on board, after the owner of the yacht called for assistance.

Once the Navy arrived, and the 4 tourists showed no need for medical assistance, Imemsa navy boat proceeded to tow the vessel back home to safety at the boat launching area known as “La Bajada”.
