30.9 million peso investment for Rocky Point beach access spots

Continued progress on renovating beach access points, as well as the Malecón in Puerto Peñaco’s Old Port, will be made  through an investment of 30.9 million pesos in 5 projects, set to begin following Semana Santa (Easter break).

Puerto Peñasco mayor Kiko Munro detailed investment in the five improvement projects, which have already been approved by the Technical Financing Committee of the Federal Maritime Land Zone, stem from funds that come from resorts, hotels, and all who use the Federal Zone.

The projects include improvements to the North beach access (to Playa Hermosa) known as La Bajada de los Guardado, maintenance and dignifying the South entrance (known as la bajada de Los Palacio), maintenance to the Ave. Coahuila beach access in the Mirador, maintenance and dignifying of the Malecón Fundadores in the Old Port, as well as toward purchasing machinery and equipment to maintain, clean, and ensure safety along the city’s beaches.
