15 bloggers spend time in Puerto Peñasco #ArizonasBeach

By José Antonio Perez

As part of a summer promotional public relations campaign, the local Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) recently welcomed 15 women “influencers” representing blogs and social networks out of Arizona for a four-day visit to the area.

Tania Félix Pérez, OCV tourism promoter indicated the principal message of the campaign is emphasizing Puerto Peñasco as “Arizona’s Beach”, in highlighting the proximity and tremendous acceptance this beach destination has had in Arizona, under use of the hashtag #ArizonasBeach

She detailed participating bloggers were chosen by the agency Owens Harkey, which is one of the lead advertising agencies in the U.S., and based particularly on the type of tourists who visit our destination year after year. At least half the participants were visiting Puerto Peñasco for the first time, while all of them represent important blogs or websites aimed at promoting travel, family, and cuisine.

It’s worth highlighting the group was made up completely by women “influencers” as, according to market studies done by the Puerto Peñasco OCV and Owens Harkey, women generally are those who visit websites and have an important role in selecting where to vacation with the family.

Among the blogs represented during the recent “Fam(iliarization) Trip” were: Our Mini Family, Arizona Foodie, Friday We’re in Love, Mom & Travel Blog; Six Little Birds Travel, Mom & Travel Blog; Biltmore Lifestyles Magazine; Hello Angelica; Queen Creek/San Tan; and East Mesa Moms Blog.
