What wonderful weather we’ve been having to kick off February in Rocky Point! The only thing that was really missing to round out this “winter time” in Rocky Point were the whales – yes, all have been anxiously awaiting the “go ahead” for whale watching season…which last year started about mid-February if we really think about it. Sure, there have been some glimpses of tail here and there – whales, people – and local tour companies have made valiant efforts to explore the seas in anticipation of these winter visitors. Today! February 7th ! On a whale seeking exploration, whistles and all, Oscar Preciado of Del Mar Charters caught sight of whales within touring distance of Puerto Peñasco…so let’s all just say – Whale, it’s about time!
