The month of October is among our favorite times of the year in Rocky Point! The humidity has broken, shrimp boats are starting to make their first runs back for the season, and activities start picking up again on weekends. With October being breast cancer awareness month, you may see City Hall lit up at night in a cool shade of pink, a mobile clinic offering free cancer screening tests, and other groups preparing for walks and runs in the ongoing fight for people, and against cancer. Yes, it’s about that time – time to head out for a mammogram…and time to run down the weekend and look ahead through the Fall!
