mermaids-penasco-rec-630x338 ¡Viva Septiembre! Rocky Point Labor Day Weekend Rundown! This week’s rundown sponsored by Peñasco Recreation Co. & the Mermaid’s Market – don’t miss them Sept. 5th

Once the sultry summer days turn toward September, there is a certain excitement floating on the breeze across Rocky Point. It’s like the end of summer vacation, literally, heading back to school in new duds and seeing old friends, everyone gearing up for Fall and busy weekends! It also means the return of the RockyPoint 360 Weekend Rundown!labor-day-2013-22-630x420 ¡Viva Septiembre! Rocky Point Labor Day Weekend Rundown!

It was an extremely busy summer on area beaches and hotels across town and, from all indications, Labor Day Weekend shouldn’t be any different. We’ve already heard from just about everywhere that things are booked, booked, booked for the “yeah, it’s still humid but let’s head back to the beach anyway, and out of the desert monsoon rains” holiday weekend! The forecast ahead looks clear and sunny, with highs in the low 90s. Talking to folks around town you may hear the humidity really goes away around Independence Day – September 16th – so, let’s see! Hope everyone had a good summer and WELCOME BACK! Let’s get to it and run down the weekend!puente-julio2015-2-630x423 ¡Viva Septiembre! Rocky Point Labor Day Weekend Rundown!

Calles: Oh, by the way – have you checked out our roads lately??? Remain alert coming into town for construction on the overpass bridge, linking the Sonoyta and Caborca highways – and be watchful at the first stoplight as some construction remains on Blvd. Josefa de Ortiz and light is generally flashing. However, Boulevard Juarez is DONE (pretty much)!! Nice job, Figueroa administration!
