UTPP signs agreement with Bahía Adair Community Ecology Center

With the goal of working together on topics of sustainable development, the Technological University of Puerto Peñasco (UTPP) recently signed an academic and scientific collaborative agreement with the Bahía Adair Community Ecology Center, as well as with the Upper Gulf and Rio Colorado Delta Network.

Under this agreement, UTPP students can develop internships and professional work focused on planning, organization, and steps for sustainable productive projects. A common task will be that of raising awareness throughout the community and for visitors about the importance of natural resources in the region, as well as the preservation of culture and history.

UTPP Director Engineer Rafael Mendívil Millán stresses the importance of this academic partnership, “Strengthening academic and scientific collaborative ties represents joining institutions from civil society that promote and work on sustainable development in our region. The study plan of our educational programs includes designation of electives in Sociocultural formation in which our students examine topics surrounding community, values and social sustainability,” he stressed.
