Cooler temps and lots of weekend activities…yep, it’s Fall in Rocky Point! While Mexico is still reeling from September earthquakes in the center of the country, we look over to Puerto Rico, Texas, Florida, and the Virgin Islands and hope everyone can add their grain of sand to relief efforts across the globe. Locally, the Red Cross will be receiving donations of dried goods, nonperishable food, and other items (not clothing, water, or medication) through Friday. A first truck of aid is expected to head out today (Wednesday), with another departing on Saturday, in making their way to central parts of Mexico impacted by the recent earthquakes. As we look around town, we are excited to see activities back up and running – or as the case would have it this weekend …swimming, running, and biking …. So, let’s run down the weekend, plus have a look at some of what’s in store for the Fall.

The Black & White Ball is a traditional Peñasco event offering all a chance to look their best while raising funds for ongoing scholarship programs of the Municipal DIF.
