Every now and then we get a little rain in Puerto Peñasco. What better way to warm up than racing around the dunes at the Cholla 250, set to take off from in front of the Fire Department this Saturday. There’s will also be a FUNdraiser over at Shrimp Plaza on Saturday, with proceeds going to the ongoing construction efforts of El Buen Samaritano church in the San Rafael neighborhood. Organizers tell us this year they’ve got a Salsa Cook-off planned, so there’s also the possibility to spice things up. Let’s see how these activities fare with our oh so few and far between rain days.
