santa-dec6-630x948 Rocky Point Medical Clinic attracts winter visitorsEach month, teams of volunteer doctors, nurses, and translators from the U.S. and Mexico share their time and experience at the Rocky Point Medical Clinics. Holiday elves share that Santa will even be part of the crew this Saturday, December 6th!  Begun nearly 15 years ago by Dr. George Stavros and his wife Susie, the clinics frequently take place at the Family of God Church though have also moved to more impoverished areas of the community and, in coordination with the local DIF, have been part of large weekend medical clinics across town.

Holiday elf and volunteer translator Randy Magie of Chandler, AZ, shares Santa and Mrs. Claus have been “working vigorously in their garage in Gilbert (because of course Santa heads south for the Winter), wrapping gifts and second hand items to donate to the kids in Peñasco.” The Claus couple, under their aliases Carolyn and Tim Grzeka, will be fitting their AZ sleigh sans reindeer and heading south for this weekend’s medical clinic. Elf Magie let it slip that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance at the Family of God Church on Saturday around 10 a.m.

For more information on the clinics, or to pursue possibly donating your time as a medical professional, translator, etc. please contact the Rocky Point Medical Clinics by visiting them on Facebook: Rocky Point Medical Clinics  or contact Susie Stavros  susiestavros@aol.com
