Rocky Point holiday New Year Rundown

banditos-630x495 Rocky Point holiday New Year RundownWeekend Rundown 2014 sponsored by our friends from Banditos ¡Felices Fiestas!

The traditional holiday posadas have come and gone, along with Noche Buena and regalos from Santa. However, in Mexico we’re in the middle of the “Lupe-Reyes” marathon, which means ongoing holiday spirit and fiestas up through Kings Day on Jan. 6th. Next up on the calendar is Día de los Inocentes (Dec. 28th), which is similar to April Fool’s day in the U.S. so keep watch for any extra trickery that day (or silly news stories). As we move into the last week of 2014, plenty of folk are also planning how to ring in 2015 so let’s jump in and rundown this final holiday stretch!

Off into the sunset

EcoFun Rentals – Now that Christmas Day winds have died down, EcoFun is wrapping up the final weekend of 2014 by offering sunset cruises both Friday and Saturday evenings (Dec. 26th, 27th) starting at 4:30 p.m. from the docks. Plus, if you haven’t been to Bird Island (Isla San Jorge) in 2014 you still have a chance with trips departing at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28th and Monday, Dec. 29th. For information and reservations, contact ecofunrentals@gmail.com and/or visit their office inside Baja Cantina Hotel.

El Tapeo Wine Bar – Ok, so we’re not sure if there’s an extra special New Year’s Eve fiesta but this definitely makes our list as a possibility for ringing in the New Year. Cozy up to a bottle of wine or two, plus El Tapeo’s great tapas to help welcome 2015!
