Last weekend’s “unofficial” end to Summer over Labor Day drew a large number of visitors to the area, experienced by many we hear particularly at the Mexico/US border crossing going both to and fro. As weekends start picking up with activities toward the end of September and straight through Thanksgiving, be sure to share your travel tips with us so as to assist fellow travelers. Looking around town these days you may think, oh how festive! Yes, the city is dressed to the nines for the night of El Grito (Sept. 15) and of course Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 16). This year we’ll also have a change in the city’s administration from current Mayor “Profe” Gerardo Figueroa Zazueta to incoming Mayor Ernesto “Kiko” Munro Lopez. So, let’s get to it and run down the weekend!
