Mayor Kiko Munro presents donation of 35,000 pesos to Puerto Peñasco Red Cross
Puerto Peñasco, Sonora. March 7, 2016. Mayor Kiko Munro presented the Puerto Peñasco Red Cross Delegation with a donation of 35,000 pesos, within the framework of the institution’s annual collection, which will extend from March 7th – May 7th.
After presentation of the donation at City Hall, the Mayor cited the phrase, “No one is ever too rich to require assistance, nor too poor to help,” calling on the community of Puerto Peñasco to join collection efforts to raise 400,000 pesos in 2016.
Accompanied by local Red Cross Vice-President Enrique Rodríguez, along with Red Cross board members and volunteers, the Mayor expressed his administration’s commitment to help the Red Cross in ensuring they are not lacking anything in order to be able to fully do their job.
Rodríguez Ramírez thanked the Mayor for his commitment and economic support of this worthy institution, noting the annual collection is one of the institution’s most important events and helps to raise funds for the local Red Cross’ operations and ever growing needs.
