Mexico swears in new President

Every six years, December 1st serves as the swearing-in of a new President in Mexico. Following results from national elections in July, Enrique Peña Nieto of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) was sworn in at midnight Dec. 1, 2012 to serve as President of Mexico for the period from 2012-2018. Peña Nieto comes in after the six year administration of Felipe Calderón and twelve years of presidential leadership of the Partido de Acción Nacional (PAN).
