Mayor promotes connectivity via new bus routes

Puerto Peñasco, Sonora. May 12, 2016.  Mayor Kiko Munro recently met with representatives from the TAP Royal bus line to address details regarding what would be two new bus routes to Phoenix and Tucson.

The mayor explained to Keith Rosenblum from TAP the need to continue promoting connectivity to Puerto Peñasco, not just by air but also by land, so that it can be more accessible to visitors from Arizona and from across the globe.

He explained there would first be a daily route between Puerto Peñasco – Phoenix, with plans to expand toward Tucson within the short term.

Accompanied by Tourism Director Martín Martínez, City Business Development Director Jorge Valdés Félix explained TAP Royal would first present a letter of intent for operations, followed by selecting a spot to serve as their central location.

He added the company had committed to providing first class bus services, offering WiFi, and costs of approximately $40 USD.
