Mark Mulligan @ Grand Opening of Mexico Beach Bum 10/12 & 10/13

mulligan-nov-011-620x413 Mark Mulligan @ Grand Opening of Mexico Beach Bum 10/12 & 10/13It has been a busy year for Mark Mulligan, one of Puerto Peñasco’s favorite musical “Beach Bums”. After adding a new member to his family (felicidades!) and traveling with his guitar all year, on Oct. 12th he’ll be back in town to play at the GRAND OPENING of the Mexico Beach Bum restaurant in the Old Port.  The 7 pm show is FREE (get there early for a spot!), though any contributions will be given to a selected charity. As a new edition to the Old Port, Mexico Beach Bum has moved into the palapa across from Mare Blue (formally Lapa Lapa, and then Wrecked).  Mark has added a gig on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 3 pm – 6 pm also at Mexico Beach Bum.

Since we last saw Mark, his melodies about sun, cerveza, and living la vida have rung out from his popular Island Fest in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo to all around the states, from AZ to FL and up to Nebraska. His laid back, down-to-earth music on a sole guitar tells stories from his life, from when he first picked up his guitar to strum in cantinas, to love, sunsets, and everyone’s hidden wish – to have their own bar in Mexico.

In explaining his style, Mark remarks, “I’m simply someone who loves to sing for folks who want meaning and heart in their music…who want to hear about sunshine and beaches and sailboats and cantinas and romance and all the fun stuff that life south of the border inspires one to write about.”

Bienvenidos nuevamente a Rocky Point, Mark!
