The 6th Deep Sea Fishing Tournament of the Puerto Peñasco Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) is set for Father’s Day weekend this year, promising yet again $10,000 USD in prizes! This year’s tournament “Loco for Fishing” has an extra sponsor on board as Capone’s Pizza and Seafood will be hosting the daily food fiesta at the end of each busy day of fishing.  Spectators are welcome for the fiesta! (Spectator wristbands for the post-fishing fiesta will be available)

Just as last year, this year’s Deep Sea Tournament is part of the larger Sea of Cortez Circuit. The Circuit, begun in 2012 among the states of Baja California Sur, Baja California, Sonora, and Sinaloa aims to renew and reactivate sport fishing throughout the region. The 2012 Circuit wrapped up in Los Cabos, and included the participation of Enrique Rodriguez and Jeff Boyd, both winners in the 5th Deep Sea Tournament. This year’s Circuit wraps up in Sinaloa.

The 6th Annual Deep Sea Fishing Tournament “Loco for Fishing” gets underway on June 14th – info on registration, pics, and updates can be found at official website: “Loco for Fishing”

Throughout its history Puerto Peñasco has sent fishermen off from its docks in search of shrimp, flounder, and down into the depths for grouper and pinto bass! Come join in on the action and go Loco for Fishing over Father’s Day Weekend!!
