Got your lures? Got your bobbers? Ready to go? It’s January Jam weekend in Rocky Point! Now in its eighth year, the annual January trek of Peacemaker fans will be making their way to town to take in two or three days of desert rock ‘n roll along over the Sea of Cortez. That’s not all, the whales are still around and we’ve got Major League Baseball coaches coming to town to lead an annual youth clinic. So, let’s get right to it and run down the weekend!
Travel notes: If heading to Sandy Beach, Cholla Bay, or spots west we recommended turning at the sign toward Laguna del Mar and then join up with the coastal road just past the train tracks. If heading to Las Conchas or points east, turn left at the first stoplight onto Blvd. Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez – you can double back to Blvd. Juarez just after Sam’s or continue on Blvd. Ortiz all the way to Blvd. Fremont. Watch for detours around town (particularly at the Circle K on Blvd. Juarez near the docks), and remain alert for STOP signs when you least expect them.

Jan. 23rd – 25th Major League Coaches Clinic (Youth Sports Foundation) offers chance for folk to meet Major League coaches while presenting full-day baseball clinic with local youth leagues. Schedule:

January 24th – Saturday Youth Clinics – 9:00-11:00- morning session Coaching Clinic ages 8-12 Saturday 1-3:30-afternoon session ages 13-17 All sessions will be at the baseball stadium.
January 25th – Sunday- Golf with the coaches at Laguna del Mar, tee time 9:00 am.
