In addition to partaking in fiestas to celebrate the “Grito of Dolores”, various hotels are offering celebrations with traditional Mexican cuisine, mariachis, and fireworks. ¡VIVA!
He expects nearly 25,000 visitors to take advantage of the long holiday weekend by visiting Puerto Peñasco, among these mainly families and younger visitors from nearby cities such as Caborca, Hermosillo, Mexicali, and Tijuana.
Numbers from these important holiday weekends are registered after closing out the Summer vacation period, which saw a 2.6% increase in visitors to the area over last year. This means overall hotel occupancy rates were above 60% during the past three months, 65% of these from the United States and abroad, with 35% from Mexico.
