The fabulous Sea of Cortez, however, remains at a welcoming temp – particularly for diving – …though warmer waters do mean jelly fish season is slithering in. Grab your beach gear, sunscreen, lots ‘o water, and maybe some vinegar just in case (for use on stings), and let’s run down this summer Anniversary weekend in Rocky Point! Anniversary, you say? Yes, July 9th marks the official 90th Anniversary since the founding of Puerto Peñasco and the city has been celebrating with a series of talks, exhibits, and cultural events throughout the week. Got baseball? Tiburones regular season home games coming to an end this weekend, July 7th – 9th, facing off against Algodoneros de San Luis. Box office for tickets opens around 4:30 p.m. on game days and games start about 7:30 and 6 p.m. on Sundays.
