Día de Acción de Gracias. While not a Mexican holiday per se, here in Rocky Point many a casa and restaurante will be serving up turkey for friends and family this weekend for Thanksgiving. If you’re thinking about bringing a turkey to town (besides the ones you may be related to) be sure to review the SENASICA guidelines for the border, which indicate only smoked turkeys are permitted: Can I bring a Turkey into Mexico?
We have much to be grateful for as the weather continues to ease its way into cooler temperatures, though a cold front is expected in coming days (granted, “cold front” may depend on your personal interpretation). For us, we’ve pulled out the sweaters for the early morning chills and sunset dips in temps. This is also the time of the year where collections are being taken up across town to help keep families fed, warm, and joyful for the season. So, let’s run down the weekend. Happy Thanksgiving!
