With more than 200 people in attendance, including DIF President Rafaela Félix de Figueroa along with DIF Director Samuel Ortega, on November 13th the first equine therapy demonstration and raffle event reined in success!

The Civil Association Corceles del Desierto de Sonora, presided over by Attorneys and husband-wife team Aarón Armando Pérez Nuñez and Claudia Lugo Gamez thank the entire community of Puerto Peñasco for their participation in furthering these goals in benefit of children who week after week make their way to the ranch for equine therapy. The are grateful for the business, restaurant, and hotel sectors of the city for their tremendous support and collaboration, as well as for their trust in knowing the benefits the children receive from the sessions. Thanks as well to all the parents of the stellar children, our admiration and affection for the trust you have placed in the association, and for support in putting together this first grand event. Additional thanks to the Musical Group Bragado for providing a lively environment throughout the evening, and deepest appreciation to the management and staff of Rocky Point Reservations, under the guidance of Mrs. Betty Majors, for her support, enthusiasm, and organization.

The equine therapy event itself took place at Rancho San José, Km. 76, just off the Sonoyta – Puerto Peñasco highway. There, in addition to viewing a demonstration of equine therapy, those in attendance enjoyed delicious Mexican dishes made by the parents of children who take part in the therapy sessions while more than 80 attractive prizes were raffled off.
