It’s a relatively calm weekend around Puerto Peñasco, that is if you consider venturing through the many city detours and traffic changes calm. Let’s just say it’s still an adventure to get in, out, and around town but we’re happy to say that Calle 13 is now officially reopened. The main change there for the moment, besides the new Monumento al Pescado gracing the entrance to Calle 13 off Blvd. Juarez, is you can no longer make a left turn onto Calle 13 when coming from the South (Old Port). Blvd. Juarez construction is still underway from about the baseball stadium to Sam’s. If headed to Las Conchas you can take Blvd. Josefa Ortiz when coming from the North, or take a left at the stoplight right before the road is blocked off and that will take you over to Josefa as well. If headed to the Sandy Beach or Cholla Bay area, we’d recommend taking the new road (from near Coastal Highway route) or how about re-familiarizing yourself with “Rodeo Drive” on the old road out to Cholla Bay? As always, watch for pot holes and we highly encourage everyone to take note of stop signs (more on that in coming days).
