Esperanza para los Niños grateful for support in 2017!

The children’s home Esperanza para los Niños, located north of the city and to the east of the Peñasco – Sonoyta highway, wrapped up 2017 by thanking all who supported the home’s efforts over the year.

In a letter of gratitude sent out by the Esperanza para los Niños IAP Team (Private Assistance Institution) just after the New Year, achievements from 2017 highlighted:

  • 8000 liters of gasoline purchased
  • Approximately 25,000 miles covered in transporting children to and from school
  • About 52,000 meals served to children at the home

Esperanza para los Niños, home to an average of 38 children and youth throughout the year, proudly notes all at the home attend school and are developing in a healthy atmosphere.  Staff emphasize their desire to provide children with “physical, emotional, and spiritual support for a well-rounded life.”

In closing out their New Year’s message, the team from Esperanza para los Niños expressed, “We hope and pray that together in 2018 we will be able to take another step in helping and nurturing the growth of each child that we serve, and help the ones to come in the future. We want them to receive your blessings and ours as we serve them.   We are eternally grateful for your commitment and support, because of this, much was accomplished. We would like to invite you to again embrace our project and vision this coming year, with your continuous and generous support.”
