El Gallo retains World Championship Titles

Once more Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada has shown what he’s made of after defeating rival Giovanni Segura in the eleventh round at the grand Arena Mexico in Mexico City on September 6th, holding onto his two World Championship flyweight titles.

Originally from Puerto Peñasco, El Gallo dedicated the bout to his family, sponsors and fans, and demonstrated his dominance and controlled defense while diminishing the strength of his rival. Gallo’s flurry of punches left Segura’s face inflamed to the point that his corner threw in the towel in the eleventh round.

Following the fight, El Gallito Estrada gave thanks for the support of his followers and though he looked a bit tired made assurances he is ready for the next fight. Among Gallo’s possible upcoming rivals is “Chocolate” González.

To the enjoyment of many residents in Puerto Peñasco, the boxing match was shown on large screens set up in the Malecón on Saturday night. Following the fight, organizers were able to contact “El Gallito” by phone and he gave thanks to the community of Puerto Peñasco, but above all to his family.

¡Felicidades Gallo!
