While there were a few cancellations at lodging spots around Puerto Peñasco over Labor Day, possibly due to tropical storm Lidia, these were quickly filled as reportedly more than 33,000 visitors spent the U.S. holiday weekend on our beaches, stated Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, President of the local Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV).

The OCV President pointed to a 1% increase in the number of Labor Day visitors over last year, with hotel occupancy rates at 90% on average.  He added this once again confirms Puerto Peñasco as an important destination spot for the U.S. Labor day weekend.
