Upon the invitation of Roberto Rodríguez, Mexican Consul in Oxnard, California,  a commercial mission from Puerto Peñasco is visiting Los Angeles and neighboring counties this week, with the goal of seeking collaborative exchanges in further positioning the city on the international map, announced Mayor Kiko Munro.

The mayor affirmed his administration has worked on the New Mexico market, constantly tended to the Arizona market, and will now, in conjunction with private initiatives in Puerto Peñasco, focus on California.

He stressed the main goal of this trip to the U.S. is to identify opportunities for economic and commercial promotion via  the Secretary of Foreign Affairs in California.

With this in mind, meetings are scheduled with Mexican consuls, both in Oxnard and in Los Angeles, as well as diverse Chambers of Commerce, Mexican business networks in Los Angeles, as well as with corporate businesses, among others.

The mayor detailed the commercial mission would be visiting California from October 25th-28th, and is certain to create conditions to further promote investment and tourism for Puerto Peñasco.
