City reaches agreement with TecMed to regularize trash collection service

Puerto Peñasco Mayor Kiko Munro and representatives of the company Técnicas Medio Ambientales de México (TecMed) reached an agreement to regularize trash collection services, while making these more efficient, and planning for construction of a new landfill.  The immediate reactivation of trash collection services via TecMed, following negotiations, is meant to address the mounting problem while significantly improving the living conditions of residents and visitors alike. The mayor detailed an addendum will be added to the existing agreement with TecMed, establishing new investment for construction of a landfill within a span of 4 months as well as the City’s commitment for timely payments.  He also called on residents to fulfill their responsibility to pay for trash collection services, thereby ensuring a better quality of life for all.
