He took advantage of the visit to meet with local journalists with whom he shared his experiences of having worked in the state, and spoke about this great story.

Luna, who was accompanied by Javier Tapia Camou, Director of the State Commission on Tourism Promotion (COFETUR), and Moisés Gómez Reyna, State Secretary of the Economy, stated “it was an honor and a grand experience to have worked in Sonora in telling a great story, which is why we are here today to celebrate this.”

The film concerning César Chávez brought an economic boost of more than 50 million pesos, and included the participation of some 5000 extras, reported Tapia Camou.

The COFETUR Director thanked Diego Luna for having set his eyes on Sonora for the film, and took advantage of the opportunity to ask “Diego to consider Sonora for future films that are worth it;” the people and the scenery are ready, he assured.

In a friendly atmosphere with representatives from the press, Diego Luna did not hide his pleasure in returning to Sonora and “to see this incredible light, along with hospitality and good food.”

The actor foresees that within this arid land, which is full of tremendous human warmth, many more films are sure to come in the future. “Today we have sent out a great message that very good things can be done in Sonora,” and he expressed his readiness to come back to tell new stories.
