AeroMéxico considering flights to Puerto Peñasco

aeromexico-620x413 AeroMéxico considering flights to Puerto PeñascoAeroMéxico is taking a look at Puerto Peñasco and announcements are on the horizon for flights to connect the city to both Hermosillo and Las Vegas. On Wednesday, May 9th,  Fernando Radillo Chief of Operations of Grupo Vidanta (Mayan Palace), Fernando Antillon Director of Mar de Cortés International Airport, Rodolfo Rhode (COFETUR Sonora) and Hector Vasquez del Mercado, President of the local Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) were joined by State Tourism Coordinator Javier Tapia Camou in meeting with representatives from AeroMéxico Sergio Alfonso Allard (Commercial Director) and Nicolas Rhoads Foantanot (Chief of commercial planning)  as they explore extending their services to the area. Aeromexico is currently the largest Mexican Airline in the country.

In past years, charter flight companies have increased their presence in the city – particularly during high tourism seasons from within the country – and AeroMéxico would be looking to add to this by offering a commercial flight.

Hopefully this project will take off soon!

  1. This is much needed and will make a huge difference in the business environment as well as tourism. This is a big deal and the start for great things to happen. The airport, the convention center and the coastal highway are all infrastructure that will bring back the buzzzzzzzzz for the community.
