Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort to Celebrate 15th Anniversary of The Links Golf Course With Open Air Concert Featuring Los Ángeles Azules
Puerto Peñasco, Mexico – Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its nationally top rated golf course, The Links, in Puerto Peñasco, with a signature event. A three-day golf tournament, October 15-17, with more than $70,000 (1.5 million pesos) in prizes, will be followed by a night of music by Los Ángeles Azules on the Malecón Fundadores.
Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, general manager of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort, said this will be the first major post-pandemic event for the venue and emphasized, “What’s important to us is to give back to the Puerto Peñasco community everything it has given Las Palomas, from its workforce, to the opportunity to establish ourselves here and become a premier leader in hospitality.”
The tournament is expected to bring together 200 of the best regional amateur golfers in Puerto Peñasco, plus players from Arizona, California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Baja California and Sinaloa. Player fees start at $650 for the golf event and while very limited, there are still a few open registrations.
The open air performance by Los Ángeles Azules on the Malecón Fundadores at Las Palomas is free to the public and is especially significant as it coincides with the international cumbia mega group’s 40th anniversary under the direction of Dr. Elías Mejía Avante, bassist and co-founder, who called the event a “double celebration.”
